Selection Sunday is upon us, and the bubble is extremely fluid. I’d be pretty surprised if I get all 68 teams right this year, the last few spots on the bubble are wide open. What’s nice about this year’s bubble is that there’s a lot of different flavors of teams to choose from. There’s a traditional high loss count power team (Oklahoma), a team with big wins and bad losses (Rutgers), a team getting hot at the right time (Texas A&M) and a team getting cold at the wrong time (Xavier).
I’ll have my final update this afternoon right after the Big Ten championship game ends. We could have some changes between now and then, Richmond is lurking as a potential bid thief and will slot into the bracket as a 13 seed should they beat Davidson today.
